Sat 20th & Sun 21st June
We have had enough time without racing, so we are using the "Lockdown in the Lakes" race day and format as a bit of a club Chairman's challenge. Some of us have entered the race officially (link below) but we are encouraging club members to also just play along and submit their ride and/or run to us in return for a little momento (tat) of the occasion - what that is will be is a surprise (even to us).
Due to popular demand, Lakesman Tri have re-opened entries for a limited period from 9am on Thursday 11th June until 6pm on Sunday 14th June.
Entry is via www.resultsbase.net/event/5476
We don’t know what the Government Guidelines will be about exercising that weekend, but please undertake this challenge responsibly and please stay at home if you have either been told to self-isolate or are showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
Current guidelines allow us to excercise with others (at a distance), so you needn't do it alone. If you find you can't complete one discipline or finish your chosed distance on the day, just submit what you have been able to do and we will find a category for you. Whilst the intention is to do this outdoors, if the weather is pants or you just can't be bothered, indoor bike and/or run will be allowed too.
To submit your times(for our club challenge), you can just send a link to your Strava/Garmin/Fitness tracker activity to us at email@example.com, or upload them to one of our FB pages (preferably with some photos). You don't need to register (using the button at the top of this page), but it would be great to know who is intending to do what.
The club would like to try out LIVE TRACKING over the weekend, letting members excercise together (socially distanced of course) or for family to know where you are. If you would like to be tracked, there is a simple guide to installing the free app on your phone here. The system will be turned on just for the weekend, and any tracking data will be permanently deleted afterwards.
You can view the map by going to kltri.co.uk/livemap on windows and android devices, and kltri.co.uk/livemapple for apple devices (because they are being awkward).
From the link below (ignore the bit about doing it in one go):
We know times are difficult at the moment, so for the full and half distances, you can do the bike and run or you can just select one of the disciplines.
You have both days to complete the distances, but prizes will only be awarded to those doing each discipline in one go.

– 1 mile bike and 0.25 mile run (must complete both)
Under 10 (on the day of event)

Under 12 (on the day of event)
