Strong Showing for King’s Lynn Triathlon Club at Culford Triathlon

Ipswich, UK – King’s Lynn Triathlon Club (KLTC) athletes made their mark this weekend at the Culford Triathlon, hosted by Ipswich Triathlon Club. The race featured a fast and friendly sprint-distance course comprising a 300m pool swim, 21km bike ride, and 4km run – ideal conditions for fast times and fierce competition.

 KLTC’s Ben Keeley led the charge, storming home in 52:51 to take 4th place overall – an exceptional performance.  

 

He was followed by a strong contingent of clubmates:

  • Jason Blackwell, finishing in 1:02:05, placed 30th overall

  • Hot on his heels, Dan Pratt and Kevin Took finished just one second apart, with Dan in 34th (1:02:20) and Kevin in 35th (1:02:21) – a thrilling battle to the line!

   A particularly inspiring highlight came from Lynne Howlett, who completed the course in 1:20:04, securing 1st place in her age category. Her performance is a testament not only to her dedication but to the strength and determination she brings to the sport. Lynne continues to be a shining example of resilience and passion – proving age is no barrier in triathlon.

 

KLTC extends a heartfelt thank you to Ipswich Triathlon Club for hosting a well-organized, friendly, and inclusive event. The Culford Triathlon remains a firm favourite on the calendar for both seasoned competitors and newcomers alike.

The club is proud of every athlete who raced and represented the orange and black with heart and grit. Here's to many more strong performances in the season ahead!
