King’s Lynn Triathlon Club delivered an impressive showing at this year’s Norwich Triathlon 2025 , with standout performances across both sprint and standard distances. From age group victories to hard-fought finishes, the club’s athletes proved their strength, stamina, and dedication on the course.
In the Sprint Triathlon (Female Age Groups), Karen Wood led the charge with a commanding performance to take 1st place in her age group. Lynne Howlett powered through to finish 2nd in her age group, Niamh Walter took 3rd in her AG cementing podium finishes in the sprint distance. Layla Mason also held her own in a competitive field, securing 8th place, in her age group.
On the Open category side of the Sprint distance, John Crowley took the bronze in his age group, Mark Doughty just missed the podium finishing in a hard fought 4th place. While Will Rockett put in a determined effort to land 15th in his age group, showing great grit through each discipline.
In the Standard distance Aquabike Debbie James took the winners ribbon in her age group (pictured).
The Standard Triathlon saw more success for the club.
In the Female Age Groups, Jenna Gotts and Sarah Roan took home hard-earned 3rd places adding to their growing list of strong performances.
The Open Age Groups featured a wave of the clubs triathletes crossing the finish line with strong results:
Oakley Took captured 2nd in his age group, showing exceptional form. Ben Keeley showed improvements on the swim, claiming 3rd place in his age group.
With top 10 finishes in their respective age groups for Paul Richardson, Kevin Took Chris Playford, Dan Pratt and Mark Fountain underscored the club’s depth.
Matt Hunter finished just outside the top 10 , Owen Jary 12th, Ashish Rastogi 15th, Luke Fammingham was 23rd, Wayne Hopkins finishing 24th place in his age group rounded out the lineup.
With multiple podium finishes and a strong overall team effort, King’s Lynn Triathlon Club continues to be a force in the region’s triathlon scene. Their results in Norwich are a testament to the hours of training and the tight-knit support among teammates.
Club chair Jason Blackwell said, for a small club like ourselves it was a fantastic day we have complete novices all the way to experienced club mates. Today showed how our supportive environment makes a difference to everyone in the club. I’d also like to say well done to our clubs friends and locals who also raced.
