Hi all.
As we now have a news feed on the new website I figured I would post a club update. Again massive thanks go to Alistar Doig for sorting the new site. Still have no idea how he manages to do this sort of thing. All magic to me!!
So where to start.
The club training is still going strong with a great level of turn out for the Wednesday swim session. We had our first CSS test in February and it was brilliant to see the level of support for all those who attended. People are most definately improving and there will no doubt be some swim PBs this season. The brick & hill sessions have also been well attended which is good to see.
Events wise we have already had people getting some great results in for KLTC;
Neil Gayton & Paul Terroros both did amazingly well at the Cambridge half marathon posting 1:35:30 & 1:38:54 respectively and Matthew Allen posted a 3rd place at the RAF Duathlon Champs with a time of 1:04:22.
The next events on the radar are the Ely and Bedford duathlons. Good luck to those taking part.
Remember if you are a member of the club and have registered for any event as KLTC please let a committee member know how you got on or post it on the members facebook page.
The next bit of big news is that KLTC are holding an event in conjuction with the Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk. We are organising the Sunny Hunny Triathlon which will be held in Hunstanton on the 19th May. This event is aimed at people wishing to try the sport for the first time and is made up of a 200 m pool swim, 18 km bike and a 3.5 km run. If anyone knows someone who would like to have a go please head to the www.britishtriathlon.org and search for sunny hunny tri.
Enjoy your training and stay safe
Regards
