Members of King’s Lynn Triathlon Club have been continuing to making their presence felt on the duathlon circuit this year and Geraldine Jordan and Matty Allen were both in action in Peterborough last weekend. They ran 6.4km, cycled 29km and finished with a 4km run to both win their age groups and finish 3rd Female and Male overall. Allen completed in 1hr28min (22min29/50min08/13min52) and Jordan in 1hr53, still comfortably beating her brother Paul who also won his age group.
Stefan Sprawling took part in his first multisport race over in DIss, finishing the windy 5km/30km/5km duathlon in a time of 3hrs02min. Also new to duathlon, Warren King raced a standard distance duathlon the previous weekend at Clumber Park. He completed the scenic ITU qualifier 10km/40km/5km race in a superb 2hrs27min (41min16/1hr21/20min31). If you are curious about triathlon, the club are organising a new pool-swim event in Hunstanton on the 19th May. Information and entry is available at www.kltri.co.uk.
