2019 Club Training Overview

Welcome to our Spring training programme. We are in transition waiting for the water to warm up.
We are offering a number of weekly and monthly training session across all discipline suitable for all abilities.
All sessions provide a structured workout designed by our club coaches. Spring/Summer training is more focussed on building endurance and race fitness as well as practising transition and swimming in open water.
If you’re new to triathlon this is also a great time to find out more about the sport.

- Day: Every Wednesday morning
- Time: 06:15 – 07:15

- Cost: £3 KLTC members, £5 non members
Mar/April – Reinforcing good technique, building our stamina and endurance was well as race simulation and Open Water Skills
We have 2 lanes available. As a general guide Lane 1 = 2:00min and over/100m, Lane 2 = sub 2:00min/100m (based on CSS times).

Time: 09:00 - 11:30
Venue: Sandringham Visitors Centre (Between the Car Park and the Cafe), You'll see me hanging around.
Session: You can Run/Bike/Run, Bike/Run or just Run or just Bike.
Run = 3.8km Loop on trails
Bike = 16km Loop on road.
You have upto 2hrs 30 mins to do as much or as little as you wish.
Open Water Swimming - Starts on Saturday 4th May 2019Adults and Juniors 14yrs and overDay/Time:Saturday Mornings 08:15 - 09:30, Safety briefing is at 08:20 and is compulsory for all swimmers.Venue: Amateur Ouse Sailing Club, High Road, Saddlebow, King's Lynn. PE34 3AWCost: Members £3, non Members £5Our Open Water Swimming sessions are generally uncoached however we are happy to offer advise and support so please ask.All swimmers are expected to be able to swim at least 200m on stop.We are at a new venue this year and the first 2 weeks we will be testing our safety proceedures and would encourage everyone to come and join in and learn some basic skills to help keep you and fellow swimmers safer whilst swimming.
We take your safety very seriously and therefore require anyone who wants to swim to attend the safety briefing (everytime) before they swim, If you have never swim in open water before please speak to the swim manager when you arrive and we will ensure that you are provided with some support.Please see below for our terms regarding wearing wetsuits.Below 11 degrees C = non club swims11- 14 degrees C = wetsuit compulsory for everyone14 - 18 degrees C = Wetsuits compulsory except for experienced cold water swimmers (with agreement from the Swim Manager)above 18 degrees C Wetsuits optional24 degrees C and Above = no wetsuits allowedCoached Junior Open Water Swimming (8-14 yrs) will commence on 8th June 2019. - More details to come
