If you are new to triathlon, a Brick (Bike & Run) is a simple but great triathlon-specific training session that conditions your body and mind to run off the bike. Both experienced and novice triathletes benefit from these sessions and it involves cycling as hard as possible for a fixed length of time, then heading out on a run within a few minutes of racking your bike, so it suits all speeds and levels of fitness - it is not a race, it is all about working those legs hard enough on the bike and running beyond the lead'leg feeling. They are also fun - honest.

Current Government and BTF restrictions allow for groups of 6 to train together and it is possible for the club to manage multiple training groups at once so long as they don't mix during the session. This is how we will need to run our training sessions until Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, meaning the normal asocial aspect of our training will also sadly be restricted but we will still do our best to still make it as fun as possible. Due to the need to strictly manage the movements of small groups, online registration in advance is required and everyone will need to fill in a Covid-19 declaration in the process.

What to bring: Bike, Helmet, Shoes for running and cycling, Drink.
Also bring: Hand sanitiser and a mask for the safety briefing.
Parking: Please cycle to the session if you can (it will improve the training effect) otherwise there is ample space in school car park. Please try to keep the spaces opposite the bike racks clear if possible. There is no parking on roadside, we really want to avoid complaints from the the local residents and school.
There are no toilet or changing facilities nearby so please arrive ready to ride and avoid bringing unnecessary items with you to transition. Please do not arrive more than 30mins before your start time and allow yourself 15mins to register and set up. Please do not bring food or drink to share with others. You can keep any snacks in your bike space or at the run start.
A section of the bike loop currently has some stone chips washed off the field and are in the middle of the road. Please consider bringing a puncture repair kit just in case (it is all good practice).
