Anyone who would like to try Open Water
Been away from OW swimming and would like to get back in
It's this is subject to weather. We will run if raining but not in a thunderstorm.
Please note ALL swimmers must also pay Greg at Pentney the swim fee £5.00
Duration:
This introduction is approximately 1hr, including meet and greet, and shore based aspects.
Venue:
Pentney lake (Premier water ski) PE32 1LE (Abbey Rd entrance )
Participants must be able to swim at least 100m in the pool and be confident in the deep end.
This session will cover:
Orientation of the venue
Saftey basics
Q&A
Dry land Warm Up tips
Putting on your wetsuit (and taking it off again :) )
Entry into the water
Acclimatisation
Small introductory swim in the lake
Venue has:
Changing rooms
Toilet
Fresh water rinse shower
Hot shower room
Loan of wetsuits subject to availability (please advise if required when booking and we will do our best)
Loan of tow float subject to availability (tow float is an inflatable float used as a market, these are mandatory to swim. Please advise if required when booking)
What to bring:
Swim costume or tri suite
Wetsuite - mandatory (limited number & sizers may be able to load from Greg at the lake)
Tow float - mandatory (agin limited number maybe be available to borrow )
Goggles
Bright coloured swim cap
A towel
Drinking water
Something easy to change back into after swim
Something warm e.g. hoodie and hat
A Smile :)
