Jason has been doing triathlons for a while with breaks inbetween. I prefer short course as not a great swimmer but always survive and do well for my age group. I came from a cycling and running background. I'm from Leicester originally and am a proud Leicester city supporter. Favourite sport sayings are " shut up legs" and "dont be shit". Have i mentioned age group lol.

Just want everyone to enjoy the sport i love

Alistair joined in 2013 after signing up to a super sprint club event. His preference is for Olympic-ish distances but will consider anything with OW, trail running, and hills. He is a Level 1 Tri coach and thinks one of the hardest things about the sport is entering your first race - it took him over 20yrs.

I joined KLTC in 2018 after being told by a current member that it’ll be fun! I came from a purely running background which involved sometimes running around Disney parks and other random places! So I’d thought I would give it a try, what could possibly go wrong?
After finishing a couple of sprints and an Olympic distance, I completed my first half distance - Staffordshire 70.3, loved it and found myself thinking, hmmmmm a full distance you say?
Egged on by others I decided what could be the harm in giving it a go? And picked IM Wales, an excellent first timers full distance (it really is, check out the course elevation). After a few false starts, a pandemic, a race cancellation and some crap weather I finished IM Wales in 2023!
During the hours of training the members of this club were so supportive and really helped me and hopefully by joining the committee I can give some of that support back.
