To gain Clubmark status, our club demonstrated it is compliant with the BTF's safeguarding policy and guidelines. Everyone who participates in Triathlon is entitled to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment.
In addition to the chance to experience the feelings of joy, challenges and achievement that are inherent to the sport. To ensure this, Kings Lynn Triathlon Club alongside British Triathlon are committed to devising and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that all those involved comply with the British Triathlon code of good practice.
Keeping young people and adults safe during training and competition can ensure that they have fun in a friendly and supportive environment.

Advice and support for those who have reported concerns or an incident:
Once you have reported a concern to our Club Welfare Officer, it may then be reported directly to the British
Triathlon Lead Safeguarding Officer. You may find the following information regarding the process of
your case and what you can expect useful as a form of support and guidance.
It is also advised if you do not already have a copy of the British Triathlon –Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
and Procedures, that you obtain a copy using the link below as soon as possible. It details exactly how your case will be handled.
- The case will be treated with a fair and transparent process at all times.
- If the accused is suspended from their role it is important to remember this is a neutral act, it protects all
parties involved in the case. - You will receive appropriate communication in the form of telephone calls, letters and emails regarding
your case from your Designated Contact.
