Sunday 13th October was a day of half marathon highs and lows for some members of the kings lynn triathlon club. David Hicks travelled all the way to Manchester to be one of 15000 people to take part in the Wiggle half marathon. Despite the northern rain hammering down throughout his whole run, Hicks completed the race in 2.12.22. Further down south, Victoria and Paul Dunthorne took part in the London Royal Parks half marathon. They reported that it was wet and windy and due to a boggy start area they had wet, muddy feet from the off. Whilst en-route they enjoyed the sights of London, ran round protestors and enjoyed every minute of it. Paul completed the race in a speedy 1.44.19 and Vicky crossed the line in 3.13.03. Meanwhile, three of the club members chose to run the Peterborough half marathon. Unfortunately after 2 hours of waiting in the rain, the race was cancelled due to suspicious activity which thankfully proved to be a false alarm.
